5 days of prayer and fasting to kick off the year, as we believe for God to move in our personal lives, in our church, and in our nation.
God is already moving. All we need is the vision to see the miracles he has done (Isaiah 43:19)! But we believe he’s not finished yet. He’s just getting started! This week, we’ll be intentionally taking the time to pray and believe for more for our church and our personal lives. We’ve started to dream again… let's have the faith to dream bigger!

Here’s what we’ll be praying for in our 5 days of fasting. We’re excited for what God will do as we sacrificially take the time to position ourselves to have more of him.
Day 1: Personal Intimacy with God
Day 1: Personal Intimacy with God
“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” – Romans 12:1 NASB
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. – Ephesians 6:18 NLT
For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. – 2 Timothy 1:9 NLT
In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. – Romans 8: 26 AMP
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. – 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 NIV
But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him. – 1 John 2:27 ESV

Day 2: Salvations

We know that you have people in your life you’ve been praying will encounter Jesus–we’re believing that this year, they will!
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” – Matthew 28:19-20 NASB
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. – Luke 19:10 ESV
When He saw the crowds, He had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” – Matthew 9:36-39 ESV
For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. – Romans 1:16 NLT
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. – Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV
Day 3: Our Nation

As Christians, we’re called to pray for our nation and governing authorities. Let’s pray for wise government officials who have integrity, and who say no to corruption. We’re believing that God-fearing men and women will rise up to govern our nation–even from our own church!
The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; He sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. Great is the LORD in Zion; He is exalted over all the nations. Let them praise Your great and awesome name—He is holy. – Psalm 99:1-3 NIV
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. – 1 Timothy 2:1-4 ESV
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you. For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations. – Psalm 22:27-28 ESV
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. – Colossians 1:16-17 ESV
Day 4: Our Relationships

A strong church needs healthy individuals, marriages, and families. We have our imperfections, but let’s pray for our relationships to be defined by peace, unity, and the love of God.
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! – Psalm 133:1 NIV
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. – Acts 16:31-32 NIV
Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself. – Matthew 19:19 NLT
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. – Colossians 3:13-14 NLT
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. Day 5: Miracles and Filling of the Holy Spirit
Let’s pray for the faith to believe that God will do greater things in and through us, and in our church! We’re believing for supernatural healings, provision, breakthroughs–and that we would see this happen through our obedience to Him!
These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. – Mark 16:17-18 NASB
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. – John 14:12 NIV

What is Fasting?
Fasting is when you give up food for a certain amount of time. When we remove or reduce our food intake, it weakens our bodies, forcing us to become closer to God and rely on his strength more than our own.
Fasting is not required for salvation, and there’s no pressure! But, it is something that Jesus did (he didn’t eat for 40 days at one time) and instructed his disciples to do. Check out Matthew 4:1-11 and Matthew 6:16-18 to see more about Jesus’ heart for fasting.

How Does a Fast Look Like?
The biblical model for fasting means giving up food—either completely or in part. You can also fast from distractions like social media and technology. Although these are not in the Bible, it does make sense to fast from things that distract you in your relationship with God. However, we’d encourage you to also fast from food—this is the best way to notice your physical weakness and begin to rely on God’s strength.
