Imperfect People
Hey, Fam!
Favor Church is in Korea! We are excited to share the love of Jesus to a nation that needs him more than ever! Starting in Seoul, a multicultural, multi-faith metropolitan area with the fifth largest population in the world, our vision and dream is that people would be radically transformed by God’s power and love. It will be an adventure and we’d love for you to join us on it!

This is the church for imperfect people. Life is busy and true community can be hard to find, but this may be the family you’ve been looking for. Come home, here.
We’re part of a family of churches in Manila and Australia and we’re so excited for this new chapter in Seoul!
Join us on Sundays!
We meet weekly on Sundays for English-speaking community gatherings. During community gatherings, we hear a word from our lead pastor, learn more about how to live out our faith, talk about life—our wins and challenges—and pray for each other. In this season, we’re also building teams with the goal of launching a church service later this year.
If you live in Seoul or the nearby cities and are looking for a church community to do life with, we’d love for you to join us!

Woolim & Shiloah Ma

They love hearing people’s stories and are passionate about helping people live full and redeemed lives through Jesus.

We believe God has called us to start in Seoul, at the center of all the action, in a city that is home to around 10 million people, 40 universities, and headquarters to global companies like Samsung and Hyundai. Within Seoul, we are currently gathering in the Konkuk University (Kondae) area. Find directions here.
We meet regularly on Sundays for community gatherings, with plans to launch an official service later this year. Community gatherings are when we hear the word and a message from our pastor, sing worship songs, encourage each other, talk about life, grow together, and pray for one another. We’re also growing our teams and setting the foundation needed to start regular services.
We’d love for you want to be part of our church family and share our vision for Korea. Join the adventure, spread the word, and help us during this season of planting!
Our current gatherings and preachings by our lead pastor, Woolim Ma, are mainly in English. But our heart is for the next-generation Koreans and our aim is to serve both English and Korean speakers. If you’re looking for an English-speaking church to belong to and to help grow, come and check us out!
Korea is home to some of the largest churches in the world. And while it experienced unprecedented growth and is a major missionary sending country—second only to the United States—the Korean church has experienced a decline in the last 25 years, with 70% of 20- to 30-year-olds claiming to have no religious affiliation. Korean society is also filled with pressure and social expectations that add to the discontent of many younger Koreans.
Our heart is for both non-Christians and “once-Christians” to discover or rediscover a faith that’s filled with joy, hope, life, and favor! We believe that Korea is yearning for a new relationship with Jesus, the Jesus that wants them “live life and life in full.”(John 10:10).
There are many ways to partner with us in this exciting season:
- Pray – We need to touch this in the supernatural before we witness God’s move in the natural. Pray for people to come to Sunday gatherings. Pray for leaders to rise up. Pray for the Korean people we encounter and for their hearts to be reached. Pray for the Ma family, that the Lord will protect them, equip them, and provide for them in every way.
- Give – We need resources. The cost of living and planting in Korea is high, similar to first-world countries in the West. As God grows this church, we want to have the means to rent a bigger venue, hire staff, buy equipment, train new leaders, and more. We believe that God will miraculously provide and that he does that through his people.
- Serve – Many hands build this church! We’re always open to volunteers who can share their time and talents. Plus, volunteering is a great way to meet new people, make friends, and be part of a team that’s building something great. Sign up to serve today!
- Share – Follow us on social media and share our posts! It’s a simple way to help us get the word out and to reach the younger generation where they are at!
