In Favor DNA, you’ll discover a deeper understanding of who we are, why we do what we do, how we build God’s Kingdom together, and what it truly means to belong to a church family that’s all about Jesus. We encourage those who want to serve to finish the Favor DNA class to equip you to grow and get connected with our church family.
Our goal is to point people to Jesus, not to ourselves, so we strive to represent Him well in everything we do.
This includes how we present ourselves while serving. We aim to wear clothing that is appropriate for our role and does not draw unnecessary attention. Volunteers should avoid clothing that is revealing, overly casual, or untidy, such as sandos or flip-flops.
Representing Jesus well also includes the way we speak and interact with others. We aim to serve with kindness, warmth, respect, and honor, and to avoid using foul or offensive language.
We also encourage all volunteers, especially leaders, to be mindful of what they post on social media. Words or images that are inconsistent with our Christian values can be confusing or send the wrong message to others.
We have certain boundaries and guidelines in place to protect church members from feeling uncomfortable and unsafe in our church family. These include:
We highly encourage you to attend the following events designed to strengthen your connection with the church, grow in community, and be refreshed in God’s presence:
1. Team Huddles – Every Sunday before services start, all our teams gather together to connect with each other, hear important announcements, and pray for the service.
2. Family Nights – Every other month, we host a night of fun and family for our leaders and volunteers, where our pastors speak into our culture and where we’re headed as a church.
3. Wednesday Morning Prayer – Every Wednesday at 7AM, we have a time of prayer on Zoom. To join, go to favor.church/wedprayer.
4. Presence Nights – Presence Nights are our nights of extended worship and prayer.
5. Family Fiesta – Every year, we honor all our active leaders and volunteers with a big celebration.
We believe it’s important for our volunteers to understand and align with what we believe as a church. If you’re unsure about any part of our theology, we encourage you to take time to read through our Statement of Beliefs. You’re also welcome to have a conversation with a pastor to ask questions or seek clarity.
