Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management
  
  
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income and expense statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Oversee payroll processes, including calculations, tax deductions, and compliance with Philippine labor laws.
  • Maintain a comprehensive system for tracking and recording donations, grants, and other financial contributions.
  • Collaborate with Senior Pastors and General Manager to develop and manage the annual budget.


• Financial Reporting and Analysis
  
  
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights into the church's financial performance.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports to general manager, highlighting key financial metrics and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for donors, government agencies, and auditors.


• Compliance and Taxation
  
  
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file necessary tax returns, such as income tax.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial and tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with annual financial audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.


• Financial Planning and Advisory
  
  
  • Work closely with general manager to develop financial strategies and plans aligned with the church's mission and goals.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to church staff, supporting decision-making processes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation, proposing strategies to optimize financial resources.
  • Participate in discussions regarding fundraising initiatives, investment decisions, and capital projects.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant
• At least six (6) months work experience as an Accountant
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation regulations
• High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential financial information
• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, with experience in Xero, QuickBooks or similar systems
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-finance people
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• A deep understanding and alignment with the mission and values of Favor Church
• Willingness to have capacity stretched

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday: 8:30AM to 5:30PM.
